International Bachelor's Programme in Political Science and Regional Studies

As a student, you will acquire skills for a broad range of careers, useful in all areas of the political sphere. Political science graduates are found in both public sector organisations and non-governmental or private organisations. Bringing together numerous disciplines, this programme provides a broad and comprehensive education, leading up to a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Studying real-world examples will help you understand the complex relation between national and international politics, and how different political regional arenas are structured and organised. All courses are given in English. The programme is a collaboration between the Department of Political Science, the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and the Department of Romance Studies and Classics. During the first year, all courses are offered by the Deparment of Political Science. For year two, you will choose a specialization in regional studies, deepening your understanding of your studies in Political Science within a regional context. In the final year, you can either do an internship, study economic history, or study abroad. During the final semester, you will write a bachelor's thesis in Political Science. All courses are given in English. The programme combines political science with specialized regional studies of your choice. Upon completion of the programme, you will be eligible for master’s programmes in Political Science.
