Master's Programme in Molecular Medicine

The Master's Programme in Molecular Medicine gives you in-depth knowledge about molecular and cellular mechanisms causing diseases, including genetic diseases and cancer, with special emphasis on epigenetic mechanisms. You will learn to independently analyse and interpret research results and data, generated by current methods and technologies. You will also learn techniques for developing novel molecular diagnostics and therapies with applications in healthcare, research and industry. You will, together with international research groups, but also independently, work experimentally with different research projects. You will also develop your abilities to formulate and approach scientific problems, analyse, critically evaluate and present research results in different forums. During the programme, you will be trained in compiling research results into scientific writings and assessing the results of current knowledge in the field.Throughout the entire programme, you will engage with lecturers and supervisors from both academia and industry, as well as from the nationwide research infrastructure SciLifeLab, who are scientists and experts in their field.The programme provides a research-preparatory education intertwined with current research. Most graduates continue with PhD studies or jobs in the life science industry all over the world.
