During four courses in the first two semesters you will gain solid knowledge of the field of Information Technology and Learning. You will learn about theoretical perspectives on knowledge and learning, understand and apply design as a method, gain insight into research methods used in both academia and professional settings and develop the ability to investigate and critically examine how digital media and technologies reshape traditional knowledge and skills. In the third semester, you can either take two elective courses offered within the programme — one course on professional learning in digital environments and another that includes an internship in a company, organization or research project — or apply for courses outside the programme offered by other departments at the University of Gothenburg or by other universities in Sweden or abroad. The fourth semester consists of a master’s thesis course. If you have taken the internship course in the third semester, your master’s thesis can be connected to your internship work.
