Master Programme in Biomedicine

The programme is taught in top-tier research environments like the Biomedical Centre in Lund and Max Lab IV/European Spallation Source (ESS). You will learn from active research scientists, ensuring your education is connected to the latest advancements in biomedicine. First Semester: Focus on advanced studies in experimental design, scientific communication, and cutting-edge laboratory work. Courses include applied biostatistics and ethics. Second Semester: Tailor your studies with elective courses in areas like molecular neurobiology, tumour biology, metabolic disease, and stem cell biology. Second Year: Prepare for a career as a biomedical scientist within academia or the life science industry. The courses include generic competencies in leadership, written scientific communication and oral presentation techniques, as well. Complete a 45-credit research project in Sweden or abroad. Compulsory Courses: Experimental Design and Scientific Communication, Biomedical Methods and Experimental Animal Models, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and either the academic or industrial research track. Electives: Choose 30 ECTS from a variety of courses at the Faculty of Medicine or other faculties in Sweden or abroad to create your own specialisation.
