Studying Digital Marketing at BNU you will cover diverse subject areas including consumer behavior, strategic marketing, responsible enterprise and ethical research. Studying such varied topics will help you understand how marketing impacts global businesses. You’ll also develop key skills, such as understanding financial decision making, attention to detail and analytical thinking which will ensure you are well placed to enter the employment market. Our course is designed to teach you the theoretical knowledge needed to excel in your future job role alongside the ‘soft skills’ needed to work collaboratively, problem solve and creatively approach workplace projects. We are focused on providing you with all the building blocks you need to create a solid understanding of the business environment. If you’re studying at our High Wycombe Campus, your first year will be integrated with the BA (Hons) Marketing course and you will be taught a range of modules that cover both our marketing and digital marketing courses, allowing you to collaborate with a wide group of fellow students. During your second year you will have a client video production module. You will work on live project briefs from business clients, pitching and presenting ideas. This will help you to develop a technical and creative understanding of video production. You’ll be able to choose optional modules that include: consumer behaviour, learning to profile the end consumer to gain customer insights; and data analytics for business decisions where you will examine how data analytics can be used to inform audience communications across marketing. In your final year, you will focus on preparing yourself for your future and career after graduation. In addition to learning about consumer brand relationships and Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) strategy and corporate communications, you will undertake an independent professional project on an area of marketing of your choice. This module will allow you to examine a contemporary business management issue or address a specific organisational management issue whilst using your time management, professionalism, and personal discipline skills. In addition to your studies, the College of Leadership and Innovation regularly holds events at our High Wycombe Campus to enrich your university experience and enhance your employability, such as a management fair, recruitment events, and alumni networking social meetings. Students studying in Nottingham will be able to attend these events at the High Wycombe Campus or join any online events. There will also be events held in Nottingham to help bolster your career prospects.
