The programme brings language, literature, and media together in a current and hands-on way. You will learn about modern theories and methods in linguistics, literary and intermedial studies. These approaches are informed by the ongoing research endeavors of our dedicated instructors, contributing to a comprehensive learning experience. Notably, this programme utilises research conducted at the Linnaeus University Centre for Postcolonial Studies (Concurrences) and multimodal and intermedial research (IMS) with a focus on environmental humanities, along with cognitive and computational methodologies for text analysis. After your first semester, you get to decide whether to pursue courses in linguistics, literature, and/or intermedial studies. During your third semester, you can choose to study abroad at our partner universities or conduct an internship abroad. Your academic journey culminates in your master's thesis. This is your chance to explore a topic that truly fascinates you, making a real contribution to the world of English language, literature and media.
