BA (Hons) Mass Communications

On the BA (Hons) Mass Communications course you’ll create content for both online and traditional media, whether that’s magazines, websites, social media, radio, podcasts, video or film. You’ll gain expertise in professional software, research methods, writing and workflow techniques, and project management, while also engaging with practices that reflect the demands of the developing media landscape. You’ll benefit from the course’s strong industry links and from teaching delivered by a team of media academics and professionals. You’ll have the chance to take part in industry events through our affiliation with the public relations and communications association (PRCA), one of Britain's leading trade organisations for PR professionals. With strong links to industry the course gives you access to guest lectures featuring a wide range of speakers from across the communications world. Previous guests have included media professionals such as Tobi Akingbade, BA (Hons) Mass Communications graduate and showbiz writer; Charlotte Jones, now a global content manager in the beauty industry; and Uche Amako, currently a sportswriter.
